Well I decided to put up another image from the last photowalk I was on, this was the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk that took place a while ago. Why go back through my archives?
Well since doing this photowalk brought to my attention by Darren Greene, I have met a load of great photographers both here in Ireland but more so through Twitter. I put up a few of my images on a flickr group page and it opened up new doors to me. Firstly I got followed by @Napp_News which is the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and then by a load of Napp Members, all except Scott Kelby himself!
These people have been a great source of knowledge to me in relation to my photography, but have also become very good friends since August! so tonight I decided to repay the favour and join up to Napp...

There are plenty of buildings in the city which may intrigued you, but normally closed to public that you can’t really take a closer look. This is why you should take advantage of Open House Dublin and explore the city’s architecture. It is currently running, from Thursday 16th October (today!) until Sunday 19th October. And oh, more importantly, they’re FREE!
There are some tours available (I was browsing the site quickly) and unfortunately some are already booked out. Most locations though, are open without reservation required, but operates on a first come first serve basis.
Let’s hope the weather holds up for the weekend so everyone can go out and enjoy this unique opportunity to take a glimpse on historical buildings such as Georgian townhouse/houses, Liberty...

I hope you are not getting sick of these photographs from my weekend walk, I am nearing an end honestly.
I love this photo though, even in times of recession, the building works continue, but the question is will these properties sell?

So here it is, this is what has caused me much pain over the past few weeks, this image was taken when they had finally closed off the building. Much has happened since then, and is taking its toll on us, painting, flooring, carpeting, new ovens and hobs, and of course my favourite the garden. All of this is in the process of been done by Paula and I and we hope to have the guts of it all done by the end of next week.
I have taken a load of other pictures of the sunroom but to be honest I think I will leave them on the hard drive, and put up some shots when all work is completed.

Why have we been told this build will take 4 weeks here are pictures from the evenings of day 3 and 4 of the build of the sunroom. So on day three the whole floor base was laid and leveled.
Then they took a break over the weekend and came back today and built up the walls.
But alas they ran into a problem, over the weekend we realised that the floor base is too high, we had asked for it to be the same level as the concrete base of the house but they leveled it the level of our floor, so a bit of kangoing and releveling will be happening tomorrow.

Trinity College in dublin is a fantastic place to go to take pictures, the architecture around the grounds is outstanding and varies around every corner.
Obviously this door has gone through a good bit of post processing but I do love the way it looks now.

I have so many images to put up from Sweden but dont want to bore you all with them but I did get some great shots. This was taken in Skansen Park again this timelooking up the sail of a windmill, it made me feel awfully dutch.

Another one of the many hundreds of photos taken in Sweden, this time from Haga Park, and the cooper tents were built in 1787-90 and designed by Louis Jean Desprez. He proposed that all the façades of the buildings should be designed as tents, clad in decoratively painted copper plate. However, tent façades were only built on the side facing the main lawns, which still gives the desired illusion of a sultan’s encampment on the edge of the forest.
Today the middle copper tent is home to the Haga Park Museum. The tent to the east houses a restaurant and the one on the western side is accommodation. The copper tents are a national monument.

Yes I am back from Stockholm with over 500 photos to go through, an EF 50 mm f/1.8II and a longing for another break.
We had a ball and our host, Dolly, made us feel very very welcome.
I will be putting up more photosfrom Sweden when I have some time too, but this was one image I did not want to hold back on, this was taken across the lake to the City Hall in Stockholm. This hall is also where the yearly Nobel Ceremony takes place, but for me the architure mixed with the fantastic skyline really make this photo.

Another photograph from my lunchtime excursion with fantasyjackpalance.
He brought me to this colourful building WAV the Whelans and Village ticketbox at the side of Whelans pub.
I had to take a picture for 2 reasons
1. The colours used in the artwork on the masonry of the building is really vibrant.
2. The name of the place really got my attention since wav files are something that as a sound engineer, I deal with on a daily basis.

I really need to get out and about with my camera a bit more.
Yes I have not been to Norway for a while now but I have revisited my archives finding some pictures which for some strange reason I never really worked on.
This is a shot looking up at the palace in the centre of Oslo....
A follow on to my shot of government buildings from last week. Here you can see the full extent to the offices our little Bertie Ahern and his buddies get when we elect them to run our......
